Look on my works, ye Mighty,

Look on my works, ye Mighty,

And consider buying them.

On 19 May 2020, our acclaimed port of GORN launched on PlayStation VR, and there was socially-distant revelry and merriment, and then we had some time to reflect, and honestly, we were pretty bummed. It was a huge achievement, but really, who were we without GORN? We had built a name for ourselves doing seemingly impossible porting work. Had we truly surmounted every supposedly insurmountable obstacle? No, Oculus stepped in to rescue us from our despair. With the upcoming release of the Oculus Quest 2, Free Lives declared it time at last to have mercy on monitors and television screens and bring GORN to mobile VR.

We had our mandate, we had our years of technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of the GORN project, and most importantly, we had the unbridled support and enthusiasm of our friends at Free Lives. Developing games is no easy feat at the best of times, but having an intense game designed for powerful VR devices run on mobile hardware is a profoundly interesting challenge. Aesthetic sacrifices had to be made, but in the end, we got far more chaff than wheat, and the version of GORN you can now play on your Oculus Quest or Oculus Quest 2 is the leanest, meanest, most definitive and essential experience the game has to offer!

If you want to find out more or see the game in action, head over to the Oculus Store.
